We had a good trip in January. We were lucky enough to play with some great bands. hate5six.com caught the A389 Bash on video and it’s all worth watching. We had made special releases for the trip, the Honor Thee Cult/Deathcrush tape (Honor Thee Cult can now be streamed in the media section of the website) and our handmade mixtapes. We’re working on more music and more projects. Follow TRILL LYFE, the imprint behind the cassette single, here for more potential projects.

The shows page is updated. We’re going to Santa Cruz and the Bay Area in early March.

We have shirts up in the Hellfish store. T Shirts with the A389 edition of the 7″ cover and long sleeves with a new design.

Via A389 Recordings:

“Low Places from Los Angeles, CA will be releasing a new 12″ release titled ‘Spiritual Treatment’ via A389 Recordings. A vicious continuation of their previous hard to find 7″ (released on Recession Records), ’Spiritual Treatment’ will feature five new tracks of fast power violence/grind influenced hardcore on side A, while the B-side will contain the band’s original ‘Violent Hunger’ cassette tracks hidden in the unmarked grooves.

The album artwork has been a source of controversy as printers all over the country have refused to print the original artwork: a collage by Polish artist Syzmon containing various depictions of humanity at it’s lowest. A few alterations have been made to the artwork to ensure that the record will actually be pressed and see the light of day.

Low Places’ ‘Spiritual Treatment’ LP will be available mid August via A389 Recordings as well as digitally via Itunes. A limited edition cassette version will also be available via Work In Shadows.
